Error Creating File for Credit Bureau Reporting

CBR in Windows 7

Windows 7, in a standard setup, does not allow access to the root of C drive. If a client has more than one drive, a second drive letter can be used to save the CBR file. If they only have 1 drive, C, then a simple workaround is available.

1. Create a new folder on the C drive. Folders can always be created in the root of C.
2. Share the new folder to everyone with full permission.
3. Use this new folder and map it as a drive on the same machine.
4. Use the mapped drive letter in CBR setup to save the file.

Easy and safer than the required registry hack to provide access to the C drive.
