Making a Note Stand Out
Posted by Linda on 27 August 2009 09:03 AM
Q: Is there a way to highlight a note in a field . example: I type in an important statement. I want to highlight it to get someones attention working that account. Is there a capability. Shift- bold, and shift- underline doesn’t work.

A: The only way to color notes is to give operators notes color. Then lines entered by that operator will be a certain color. Only lines visible when you view the debtor are colored. No notes are colored when you click into this area to edit. You can put asterisks before the date. That will make the line "float" to the top of the notes. It will always be at the top.

Example

*** 08/27/2009 9:01:13 OWN: This note is very important!

If you combined this with a notes color for OWN in the operator setup, you would have a colored note at the top of the debtor's notes.
